Pays Sud de l’Aisne

Remembrance

A heavy toll among nations involved in World War I forever mark the south of Aisne. Around Château-Thierry, Fère-en-Tardenois, La Ferté-Milon, many cemeteries, places of worship are true witnesses of the terrific fights that took place almost a hundred years ago.

Battles of the Marne, the episode of taxis of the Marne, the Battle of Belleau Wood ,..., much historical chapters of World War I that are the "witnesses" of our shared history.
The south of Aisne includes many places of remembrance, which for some nations like the United States, represent the starting point of a steadfast commitment to liberty.
